Event Details

In the 20th Century it was possible to run a business or a team of people without being able to (1) learn fast  (2) coach or help others (3) speak confidently to groups (4) engage with people and communicate authentically (5) think differently from the crowd.

However in the last 12 years or so much has changed and so there is now the need for a business leader to have a whole range of (new) skills. This overview workshop allows you to see the new skills at first hand, see how you match up and if necessary sign up to a programme to help you develop the new skills in abundance.

Of course there is nothing new under the sun. These are not new skills at all and the best leaders that ran the best teams and the best workplaces in the last century had many of these skills at their fingertips. What has changed is that you could be averagedly succesful in business without these skills but now you are very unlikely to rise to the top without them. This is for two main reasons:

(1) we live in a time where the technical tools and technology we use are changing fast (we live in a time of rapid change)

(2) in this new era, people are more important than ever. Today every business needs hired brains not just hired hands. You must know how to use your brain more effectively and know how to engage with other brains. Employees and associates will only use their brains effectively in certain environments and certain situations. The old leader only had to manage how people used their hands and feet (so you could get away with telling people what to do); the new leader has to be able to manage free-spirit 'brains' in the organisation (or free-spirit associates). The new leader has to role-model the way business is done around here and this 'model' has to be aligned with certain principles or the brain-power of the organisation will remain untapped and disconnected.

So do attend this one-day workshop to find out what the skills are and how to use them

This is the first workshop of a series six workshops and two webinars. You may just attend this first workshop (and decide later about attending the series) or you can book for the complete series here now
